Educational impact and tailored content
With access to MyFloor, ActiveFloor’s game library, Alicia and her colleagues can easily find, adapt, and create games that fit their academic goals.
“I collect games and link them to our ‘Year at a Glance’ document so teachers can quickly find engaging, interactive learning opportunities that match their objectives,” she explains.
Positive change – and room to grow
One of the most noticeable changes since implementing the ActiveFloor is the increased excitement students show when visiting learning spaces where the units are in use. Learning through games has transformed the spaces into fun, active environments — not just places for books, but a vibrant hub for movement and community.
Alicia especially recommends ActiveFloor to librarians and PE teachers, but also sees opportunities for improvement—such as being able to search only for English-language content, filter by grade instead of age, preview games more thoroughly online, and link content more directly to learning standards.
