Save time on lesson planning and gain more energy for teaching

With ActiveFloor’s verified learning pathways, you get ready-to-use teaching modules with a clear structure and defined roles.

The courses function as complete, game-based learning pathways presented as playlists with a high academic standard.
Each playlist includes a series of games, activities, and tasks where students alternate between interactive floor-based games and group work.

CAPTURE STUDENTS’ ATTENTION FROM THE START

Play and movement capture students’ attention far more effectively than traditional, seated classroom instruction.

The learning pathways are designed for group-based use, so the entire class can be active at the same time.

While one group works physically with the games on the floor, the other groups complete related tasks from the course — such as mini-workshops, writing assignments, or collaborative exercises.
Everyone works with the same topic, but in different ways — creating both variation and deeper learning.

The topic is introduced through, for example, a presentation game where students interact directly with the content on the floor. They are guided through the subject using texts, audio, short videos, and quizzes.

You save preparation time — and your students stay engaged from start to finish.

working with the topic

After the introduction, students are divided into smaller groups, each working with the topic in different ways.
For example:
– One group works with the games on the floor, practicing what they have learned through quizzes, matching games, conversation games, or similar activities.

– The other groups work in workshops with tasks described in the accompanying teacher guide.

This could include:

  • Small investigative tasks
  • Grammar exercises
  • Writing tasks where students write their own short stories
  • Presentations where students make tasks for each other
  • Short presentations.

Evaluation and Conclusion

The learning path ends with an evaluation or exit ticket in the form of a game, a presentation to the class, or a class discussion.

Where to Find Teacher Guides

Many of our learning pathways include a teacher guide.
You can scan the QR code directly from the floor or find the teacher guide on MyFloor in connection with the game information.

what does the teacher guide contain?

The teacher guide may include:

  • A description of how to work with the teaching path
  • Guidance on preparation and any necessary materials
  • Descriptions of workshops
  • Printable worksheets for workshops
  • Useful background information
  • Considerations (ethical and/or practical)
  • Evaluation materials.

Adapted to different educational systems

Our learning pathways and teacher guides are designed to support teaching in different educational contexts around the world.

Because teaching structures and curriculum requirements vary between regions, our materials may be adapted to align with local educational practices and learning goals. For example, in the United States, teacher guides may include structured multi-day lesson plans, curriculum standards, and measurable learning outcomes.

In many European classrooms, teaching is often organized more flexibly, with a stronger focus on exploratory learning, collaboration, and activity-based evaluation rather than formal testing.

ActiveFloor learning pathways are therefore designed to be flexible and adaptable, allowing educators to integrate them naturally into their own curriculum, teaching style, and national learning objectives.
