Play and movement are often interrelated. This is why, through games involving physical activity, the children’s abilities in collaboration and communication are strengthened. Play is the highest form of research.

With the help of interactive activity and learning games, it is never going to be tedious to repeat inflections, equations and other subject-related material. Play is children’s (and the memory’s) preferred learning tool.

MOVEMENT

Movement supports and supplements teaching while also making each day exciting and different – and as an extra bonus, memory functions are improved through physical activity, as a larger number of neurons are stimulated.

ActiveFloor is an interactive floor where children navigate in and play various activity and learning games by using their feet.

ActiveFloor provides schools, nursery schools, after-school care facilities, libraries and hospitals with new ways of furthering educational, social and motor development in a fun way. Provide the children with the opportunity to learn in the way that is the most natural for them: by using the whole body.

1. Design and develop

In a very few minutes you can create your very own interactive learning games. You decide in which game universe your content is made, and which subject, theme and age group it is adapted to. You can easily add your own texts, pictures, sounds and videos, in order for your games to be personal and relevant for exactly your nursery school, school or after-school childcare facility.

In addition to the fact that you can make your own ActiveFloor games, you can play a great number of already existing learning games that have been made in collaboration with teachers and pedagogues.

2. Play and learn

The universe of ActiveFloor combines play and movement with learning, as the children navigate in and play various activity and learning games on the interactive floor, by using their feet.

ActiveFloor works at its best when multiple people play together, for example, a classroom, auditorium or a shared playing area. You catch the children’s attention in a whole new way, while, at the same time, you have focus on your educational learning targets. ActiveFloor fosters social learning, unlocks learners’ potential and deepens pedagogical impact.

3. Share and be inspired

Sure, in the beginning you are using some extra time on creating your games. But the games you make in ActiveFloor cannot be crumpled up and dumped into the trash bin. They are games which you can use multiple times, improve and use again in another class.

In our Online Community, you can even play the games you have made with your colleagues across the country, and, in that way, create teaching material that inspires others and can be used more than once – in more than a single class.

4. Make homework fun

With a login to ActiveFloor’s Online Platform, you can develop games from the home, and even better, you can set the children homework where they have to develop their own games on their own. This provides the older pupils with a possibility to have influence on their learning, while it gives you some extra time. Now you have the time to work on new subject-related teaching material, while the pupils can revise what you have already taught them.
